Brewery tours in Tampa and St. Petersburg

Tampa Bay has one of the densest craft beer scenes in the Southeast, spread across Seminole Heights, Ybor, Westshore, St. Petersburg's warehouse district and Dunedin. A brewery tour strings three or four of them together with a guide, tastings and someone else driving.

Good for

  • Visitors who want the local beer without planning a route
  • Bachelor and bachelorette groups that want a safe way to get around
  • Work teams who want an afternoon out of the office
  • Beer people who'd like to meet brewers and see the tanks
  • Couples who want a few hours without a designated driver
  • Birthdays and reunions that need an easy plan

Tours we arrange

Van and bus brewery tours

Three or four breweries over four to five hours with a driver, a guide and a tasting flight at each stop.

Walking brewery tours

Seminole Heights, Ybor City and downtown St. Pete have enough breweries within walking distance for a car-free afternoon.

Dunedin brewery crawls

The small town north of Clearwater with more breweries per block than anywhere in the region, mostly walkable from Main Street.

Private group tours

Your own vehicle, your stop list or ours, and a schedule that works around a wedding, a game or a conference.

Behind-the-scenes visits

Brewhouse walkthroughs and a chat with the brewer at breweries that offer it, arranged ahead of time.

What affects the price

  • Walking tour or a tour with a vehicle and driver.
  • Number of stops and what's included at each.
  • Group size and whether it's private.
  • Weekend afternoons over weekday tours.

You get the full price, including fuel, gear and fees, before anything is booked.

Beer in Tampa Bay

Tampa's breweries cluster where the old warehouses are: Seminole Heights along Florida Avenue, Ybor City's brick buildings, and the Westshore industrial blocks. Across the bay, St. Petersburg's Grand Central and Warehouse Arts districts have their own concentration, and Dunedin has a walkable Main Street lined with taprooms. Most taprooms open around noon and are busiest Friday and Saturday evenings, so afternoon tours get seats and a brewer's attention.

Common questions

How much beer is it?

Usually a flight of four small pours at each of three or four stops. Guides pace it, and water and food stops are built in.

Is there an age minimum?

Twenty-one to drink. Some tours allow younger guests who don't drink; ask when you book.

Do you pick us up?

Vehicle tours pick up at a central meeting point, and private tours can pick up at your hotel or home within the area.

Can we choose the breweries?

On a private tour, yes. Group tours follow a set route that changes with the season.
